Pierre Longerna

Essilor’s Pierre Longerna has been elected as an ODMA board member, bringing international business experience and cross-cultural company management to the board.  

Longerna has a background in banking and management consulting, working both in China and in Europe. He has held different strategic and commercial roles with Essilor France until he joined Nikon Optical US & Canada as president in 2012. Longerna made the move to Australia in 2017 to join Essilor Australia and New Zealand as country manager. 

In other news, ODMA’s popular boutique event O-SHOW is visiting Sydney this year, 16-17 May 2020, at Hordern Pavillion, Moore Park Sydney. “Showcasing Australian leaders in equipment, sunglasses, frames, and lenses, O-SHOW will again deliver the latest optical industry technology showcase,” promise organisers, adding that it is more than 50% sold out already.
