The quality of Leinz Eyewear’s design, sustainability, functionality, technology and marketing had the jury swooning as they named it the winner of the 2022 Opti Box Award. The international jury described the eyewear as having courage, quiet extravagance and a coherent brand presence with a lot of personality and recognisability.
Berlin-based Beate Leinz, who has designed for Prada and Yohji Yamamoto, said she was very pleased with the recognition. “I have been working on eyewear for almost 30 years and now I can incorporate all my experience into my own collection.”
The first prize includes €1,000 credit towards Opti exhibition stand hire, plus marketing and PR support worth a four-digit figure from German media partners Eyebizz and Ebner Media Group.
