Unveiled at Opti Munich, Hoya’s artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced VisuReal Master offers a faster experience, more precise eyeglass centration measurements and a sleek design that fits seamlessly into modern interiors, said the company.

Developed in collaboration with German optical measurement specialist Ollendorf Mess-Systeme, the system’s AI-powered functionality virtually eliminates the need for manual adjustment and human error, said Hoya. “It significantly enhances the patient fit, improving long-term comfort and vision support.”

Looking like a high-tech mirror, the system uses six specially designed cameras and accommodates patients with severe visual impairments by using clear light signals to guide the experience, the company said. “No additional measurement tools or lateral photographs are required… as patients view themselves in the mirror, they naturally assume a correct posture – a crucial factor for precision.”

The results are instantly accessible on devices including PC, notebook (with any operating system), tablet (iOS or Android) or smartphone, said Hoya.
