Products by Design’s Jacquie Ellis with John Ruby

Well-known optical accessories stalwart Jacquie Ellis has launched her own optical accessories business, Products by Design (pbd), offering tools, chains, cases and more to New Zealand practices.

Looking for an opportunity to continue to serve the industry after McCann Optical Parts ceased trading in Australia and New Zealand, Ellis and husband Chris decided to expand their personalised promotional products business to include optical accessories. “I’ve had a wonderful time working with Greg McCann over the past 14 years and I’ve built lasting relationships with my customers. I’m excited to now offer the New Zealand optical trade high-quality products, delivered on time and at highly competitive prices,” she said.

Products by Design’s optical portfolio offers workshop tools, including frame parts and small machinery, tailored for optical practices, Ellis said, adding it also includes personalised microfibre cloths, lens-cleaning spray bottles and unique design cloths and cases with promotional materials coming soon.

“Products by Design strives to be the first business you think of when you need those ‘out of the box’ parts or solutions that aren't easily found elsewhere. I’m also expanding our offerings to include unique, funky optical cases – something I’ve been eager to provide for some time. My goal is to bring fresh, creative options to the industry while maintaining a personal service.”
