Glaucoma and cataract surgery specialist Dr Divya Perumal has joined Re:Vision, expanding both the team and the anterior-segment surgery’s specialist scope of practice.
Dr Perumal said she is looking forward to this new chapter in her patient-care journey. “Being at Re:Vision, I can provide superior patient care and work with a multi-talented team in a boutique environment”.
Re:Vision founder Dr Trevor Gray said the team is thrilled Dr Perumal is joining them. “She is a perfect match to our patient-centric personalised care. Divya has that rare balance of positivity, performance and professionalism. Her expertise in cataract surgery, particularly when combined with glaucoma, will add another dimension to our patient services.”
A former optometrist and vision scientist, Dr Perumal trained in ophthalmology in New Zealand, winning both the Calvin Ring Prize and the Arthur Thomas Paterson Scholarship and in the UK, where she undertook advanced glaucoma surgery training in Manchester. She consults on cataract, glaucoma, pterygium surgery and general ophthalmology and is also passionate about advancing interventional glaucoma practices and training younger colleagues. When she’s not busy looking after patients, Dr Perumal and her husband are kept busy with their two young boys and a Ragdoll cat called Latte.
Dr Perumal will consult on cataract, glaucoma, pterygium surgery and general ophthalmology cases at Re:Vision.
