Alcon has launched Systane Hydration UD, a preservative-free lubricating drop combining sodium hyaluronate and a gelling agent HP-Guar.  

The drop, newly released to Australia, provides twice as much moisture retention compared with other drops which contain hyaluronic acid alone, said Alcon. “This unique formulation offers relief for sore, tired, watery and dry eyes, providing hydration and protection for the surface of the eye.”  

Systane Hydration UD is suitable for patients with sensitive eyes, for dry eye symptoms before and/or after ocular surgery and for soft contact lens wearers, said the company.
