Microsoft has now made Seeing AI, a free app it describes as a talking camera for the visually impaired, available for Android as well as Apple devices.

By the end of 2024, Microsoft said the app will be able to describe items in photographs, answer queries about documents and read menus and receipts in 36 languages.
