Tauranga Eye Specialists has opened a new clinic in Papamoa in the Bay of Plenty. Driven by increased demand from the region’s strong population growth, the day-stay facility marks a milestone in healthcare, said Tauranga Eye’s Dr Sam Kain.
“With the opening of this day-stay theatre facility, we are not only providing leading-edge ophthalmic treatments and procedures but also a promise of convenience and comfort for patients across other specialist disciplines,” he said.
Local optometrists, specialist surgeons and industry guests were welcomed to the brand-new facility for drinks and canapés, with tours of the premises offered by Drs Kain, Kent Chow, Cheefoong Chong and Mark Saunders.
Tauranga Eye Specialists’ team of ophthalmologists, including Drs Mark Fajgenbaum and Andrew Thompson, will work across its two clinics (Park Street and Papamoa) offering a full range of ophthalmology services.
