Eyebou streamlines optoms’ workflow

December 13, 2021 Staff reporters

UK-based Eyebou’s new optometry practice-management software facilitates remote consultations and allows patients to order repeat prescriptions and self-screen.

Eyebou’s co-founders, Amy Fehilly and Farris Massoudi – a software engineer whose CV includes product development with Careem and Uber – described Eyebou as a one-stop shop for eyecare professionals (ECPs) that helps drive online sales, improves Google search ranking and increases footfall in physical stores. The virtual try-on feature includes a social add-on, for patients to invite family and friends to voice their opinions on new frames.

Fehilly said that the platform also streamlines communication between sales teams and ECPs and simplifies workflow by aligning a practice’s ordering and records systems while auto-filling data fields, where appropriate, to save time. All data is securely stored in the cloud, in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Fehilly said Eyebou’s software works internationally and is being offered at a discounted rate if purchasing before the end of February 2022.
