Jean-François Rey, founder and CEO of French eyewear design company, Maison Jean-François Rey, has handed over control and executive responsibilities to the Franco-German trio of Walter Pirinoli, Dan Levi and Ralf Kmoch.

The trio of eyewear managers, who joined forces several years ago as the Visioptis-Visibilia group, each acquired a third of JF Rey’s share capital. Their vision of maintaining the origins and structures of the Maison, embracing its core design- and quality-driven approach, as well as their international experience, convinced Joëlle and Jean-François Rey they were the right match, the pair said in a statement, adding they will continue to manage and support the design team to assure continuity.

“We feel highly honoured that Joëlle and Jean-François have accepted our proposal,” said new CEO Walter Pirinoli. “We can assure (everyone) that a cautious evolution, maintaining the core values of the Maison Jean-François Rey, is our mission.”
